Freezer Lamb

Freshly weaned ram lambs enjoying their spacious new pasture

Nistock Farms is pleased to be able to offer our home-raised lamb for your table. We sell only our own lambs so we can guarantee the care, diet and conditions under which they were grown.

Our lambs are raised on our pastures and minimally supplemented with a grain ration based on corn and oats also grown here by ourselves. The lambs do receive lambhood vaccinations and deworming agents when needed to protect the health of the flock, but they are not given any growth hormones, or fed antibiotics or unnatural feed additives.

We trailer our lambs to the processing facility ourselves to ensure the safety and comfort of the animals. We use only Grizzly's in Hunt, NY to process our lambs. They are a fully USDA inspected facility and do a careful, professional job and are a pleasure to work with. Slaughter is accomplished quickly and humanely. Hides from those lambs are retrieved by us and prepared for the tanner who turns them into the lovely Sheepskins we sell. After inspection and cooling, the lambs are processed into the many popular cuts and ground products we offer. All are sealed in clear plastic vacuum wrap to provide shelf life of a year or more.

We offer the following selected cuts of lamb for your table.

ORDERING

YES! We can SHIP frozen lamb to you within the US! A fitted insulated box is specially created for every shipment and a 2 day transit method is required, so shipping prices vary. Please email us for exact details.

If you would like to order, please contact us directly by email: robin@NistockFarms.com

or by phone: 607-522-4374 with a list of cuts and quatities you would like. We will tell you when your order will be ready and calculate the final price. Orders must be paid for in full before shipping or at time of pick up.

Please call to arrange a time for pick up. We are a working farm and unscheduled arrivals will meet with disappointment if we are away from home or unable to pause in a task we're doing to serve you!

A rendezvous can sometimes be arranged under some circumstances. Please ask.

Slaughter dates for 2011 are Sept. 29, Oct. 27, Nov. 3, and Dec.15. Scheduled dates for 2012 are Jan. 5, Jan. 12 and Feb. 2. If you need a special order item, we must know before one of the slaughter dates. Orders will be filled in the order they are received for as long as supplies last. When an item is sold out for the season a note will be made on the price list below to alert you to that fact.

Love your dog?

(or other carnivore)

Raw, ground mutton is available frozen in plastic sleeves weighing 5-6 lb each. We occasionally have ewes who have regrettably become unable to "pull their weight" in the flock, ususally due to old age. These are healthy, unmedicated animals. Only muscle meat and liver is used - no "by-product" parts that you wouldn't want to eat yourself. We cook and add it to our dog's regular kibble every day. An excellent source of highly digestible protein, especially useful for animals dealing with sensitive digestion, allergies, advanced age or illness.

$2/lb.

Sorry, currently all sold out.
