Our
felting and quilting batts are made from the fiber from
our handspinning flock. Clean fiber that is too short to
spin and wool from areas not covered by a blanket are processed
into soft, lightweight, flame retardant batting. Colors
range from white to gray shades. Occasional small bits of
vegetation may be present in the batts. This will not interfere
with your quilting. When ordering, please double
check the dimensions and choose your batts based on the
actual size in inches, not the "name"
of the size. I have found that one man's "twin"
is another man's "single" and so on.
The
battings are sold out again. I'm not sure when I'll have
more - probably not until late summer or early fall. My
apologies if you missed them.

Quilting Notes
We recommend covering the batt in an envelope of interfacing or pellon-like material and basting through the layers. This will help prevent fiber migration through the quilt top. Gentle
hand washing of the quilt is best, machine washing is not recommended and may result in felted lumps in the batting layer..
