Cotswold Wool Knitting Kits
Knitting kits! Whether you are a new knitter or more experienced you'll enjoy knitting these projects designed exclusively for our Cotswold Golden Sheep yarn. Cotswold is a luster longwool breed, so the wool is sturdy, shiny and suitable for outerwear garments (as well as home textiles and many other items!) Our patterns showcase the best qualities of Cotswold yarn - crisp stitch definition, squishy warmth and sturdiness for everyday cold weather wear. Nistock Farms is an official provider of Cotswold in the Livestock Conservancy's "Shave 'Em to Save 'Em" program and all of our kits contain more than the necessary 4 ounces of fiber and will qualify for a breed sticker. If you need one, please ask! We are happy to help you fill your passport. Kits consist of pattern and appropriate weight yarn of your choice (sorry, needles not included) gathered in a clear plastic handled bag suitable for gifting or toting your project around.  Snow Day Hat If you are looking for a delightfully simple knit then this hat is for you. Warm and squishy with a folded brim, the pattern is written for large and small sizes (large is pictured on an adult , small is shown in green) and the hat can be turned inside out to show a different stitch texture. Using just one skein of our Cotswold Golden Sheep 3-ply bulky yarn this hat will knit up quickly. A good pattern for beginners! Texture is achieved by using stockinette and reverse stockinette stitch, and K2tog/YO stitches create the lace eyelets. A good beginner pattern or fun for someone wanting a quick, comfortable knit. While this pattern was created for worsted weight singles the gauge is unimportant and it works beautifully with our Cotswold Golden Sheep 3-ply sport weight yarn!
