Tidy Teasing Board

Our Tidy Teasing Board is just the tool you need to help prepare wool locks for spinning or other fiber art uses. Made from smooth furniture grade Baltic birch plywood and 72 tpi carding cloth, this hand tool is perfect for opening the butt and/or tip of washed locks.  Are you tailspinning locks into a yarn?  Need the butt end fluffed to incorporate into felting?  Need to remove weak tips from that otherwise perfect fleece?  This handy teasing board is just what you need.  Bigger than a flicker brush, this nicely crafted item is an economical alternative to more expensive versions with special clamping mechanisms.  Our teasing board can be clamped to a table (clamps not included) with whatever type of clamps you already own OR just hold it with one hand and work the locks with the other.  It's equally user friendly for righties or lefties!  Board measures 10" X 4" and weighs just 10 ounces.  This unfussy tool can travel with you and you don't need to clamp it down to use it.
